Items Prohibited in Shipments
Below is a detailed list of items prohibited in Drago Expreso shipments:
Animals and Animal Products
Live animals cannot be shipped for humanitarian, health, and safety reasons. Animal products may also transmit diseases or require animal health certificates and special import permits.
Chemicals and Corrosive Materials
Acids, solvents, corrosive products, and other chemicals can cause leaks, burns, poisoning, fires, or damage to other packages during storage and transport.
Plants, Seeds, and Agricultural Products
These may carry pests, fungi, or diseases that can harm Mexico’s agriculture and ecosystems. Their import is usually subject to inspections, phytosanitary certificates, and special authorizations.
Perishable Foods
Fresh, refrigerated, or frozen products can spoil in transit, causing contamination, unpleasant odors, or health risks. They also require special storage and transportation conditions.
Counterfeit Goods
Replicas, knockoffs, and products that infringe on trademarks or intellectual property rights may be held, seized, or destroyed by customs authorities.
Hazardous Waste
Damaged batteries, chemical waste, biological materials, medical waste, and infectious substances can cause contamination, fires, poisoning, or exposure to hazardous agents. Transporting them requires specialized handling and permits.
Bladed Weapons and Firearms
Firearms, ammunition, knives, pocketknives, and other items considered weapons pose a safety risk. Depending on the item, they may also require specific permits or be subject to legal restrictions.
Explosive and Flammable Materials
Explosives, fuels, fireworks, gases, flammable aerosols, and similar materials can cause fires, explosions, or serious accidents during transport.
Pornographic and Radioactive Material
Pornographic material is subject to legal restrictions.
Radioactive Materials
These pose a high health risk and require specialized controls, packaging, and authorizations.
Drugs and Psychotropic Medications
Illegal drugs and controlled or psychotropic medications cannot be shipped without the proper authorizations. Shipping them may constitute a crime and poses a serious risk to public health.
Jewelry and Cash
Cash, precious stones, valuable metals, and jewelry carry a high risk of loss, theft, or fraud. They may also be subject to customs declarations, liability limits, and special controls.
Excessive Quantities of Liquor
Shipping alcoholic beverages may be restricted by tax, health, and customs regulations. Drago Expreso does not accept shipments that exceed the quantities authorized by the company or the relevant authorities.
Coffee in Any Form
Whole bean, ground, roasted, instant, or pod coffee may be subject to health, agricultural, and customs controls. For this reason, Drago Expreso does not accept coffee in its regular shipments.
